We started our final day - grandad's birthday - in the best possible way. We went to soft play again. As mum was with us, Haruki was allowed on the bigger set of soft play. Last time, dad wouldn't let Haruki go in this area as it had two 'slides of death'. It turned out though, that these slides were only in operation when a member of staff was present... So Haruki got to use the wavy slide 15 times! Dad was amazed that we both played for almost 2 hours. Yuto needed a little sleep though.
We went back to the flat for lunch. As we were leaving tomorrow, lunch consisted of many bits 'n' bobs which needed finishing. Yuto didn't like the soup.
We left the flat and headed into Whitby for around 2pm, for the final time. We had booked a table at 'The Magpie Cafe' for 4pm; this meant that we had 2 hours to look around the town. We all looked around a couple of shops then, Haruki went to sleep and spent the time with grandma and grandad in a cafe. Mum and Yuto tried to go shopping however, Yuto screamed and screamed as he wanted to go to the cafe too. Dad went to get his haircut. He ended up in a turkish hairdressers as all others were either shut or didn't do walkins.
Eventually 4pm came and we all went to the Magpie cafe for fish and chips. Haruki slept through the whole meal whereas Yuto discovered his most favourite food; rissotto. Mum had a hake rissotto, dad had a small fish and chips with escalops and grandma and grandad shared a fish and chips. They were delicious; they gave Mary Janes in Cromer a run for their money.
With dinner done and the shops shutting, ot was time to leave Whitby for the final time. We have had a brilliant holiday. We are both wishing to come back soon.
Back in the flat we watched 'Three men and a little lady' plus the first episode of 'Race across the world'. It was very exciting.
So tomorrow we go home however, we might stop at a big shopping centre in York on the way. We are not sure if we are that excited about that.
Toodle Pip!
