Holiday time ... at last

There is a new way of knowing if we are going on holiday. We both sat in our car seats - which Yuto had a new car seat today - and a big black box gets attached to our roof by mum and dad. There was a bit of a debate whether this black box was needed for this holiday however, it was added.

We came back into the house for lunch before locking up the house and back into the car. Dad took a video of different parts of the house - like the cooker - so that he had recorded evidence that everything was off prior to leaving.

We both - and mum - slept as dad listened to his podcast and drove ... north! This was new. In those moments when I was awake, I did notice that the roads we were travelling down were unfamiliar. We both looked at the road signs as we passed. The only one that rang any bells was York ... but we didn't know where that was.

After almost 4 hours dad turned right, down a hill and into a valley. The place was called Ruswarp. Both myself and my brother looked perplexed at each other. As we turned into Mill court, saw grandma waiting and looked up at flat 4 (which is where we would be staying), we both wondered why we were staying somewhere no one had ever heard of before.

The flat was huge. We both stared at the roof which was miles and miles above us. The TV was a nice big size ... which Haruki liked. We unpacked and we were just getting comfortable ... when mum said "right, let's go out".We all went for a walk around Ruswarp. Due to how small the place was, it wasn't long before we were back in the flat eating dinner.

It was a quiet night where we watched tv and chose which bed we would sleep in.

I wonder if tomorrow we'll work out why mum and dad took us here.

Toodle Pip!
