Today we split up. Yuto stayed with mum at the flat whereas Haruki walked into Whitby with grandma and dad. Grandma hadn't done the walking track before, and mum needed to do some school work. This therefore made perfect sense.
Once in Whitby Haruki, dad and grandma walked all the way down the pier, before returning to grab some chips... before walking back to the flat. It took around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Yuto stayed in the flat but didn't sleep. He just rolled around.
We had lunch in the flat before leaving for the beach. This time, Yuto and Haruki were together with mum and dad. The drive took us around 10 minutes. Dad and Yuto walked along the top of the beach near the seafront hotel and other buildings. This was because Yuto's pushchair's wheels sank into the sand. Haruki and mum headed straight down onto the sand. Haruki loves the beach ... but has got into trouble on a boeach before (in Cornwall). Soon grandma and grandad arrived and they looked after Yuto. Dad joined mum and Haruki on the beach. Mum and Haruki were playing a game; get as close to the waves without getting wet. Dad judged that both mum and Haruki were pretty bad at this game, by the look of Haruki's shoes. It was good fun though, the tide was coming in.
Once mum and dad's hour parking ticket was up, we were off again. This time we went to Whitby Abbey but we didn't get out the car. Dad took what he called 'a cheeky photo' and then left the car park. We didn't go far. We ended up in a car park along the Esk, directly below the abbey. Mum desperately wanted ice cream therefore, we went into Whitby to buy, and eat, ice cream before leaving for the flat.
In the evening we ate yesterday's pizza and had an early night. Though not much was done, we were both very tired and so went to sleep quickly.
Toodle Pip!
